Little Felt Hearts & {Felt Food GIVEAWAY}

You know what I just love about St. Valentine's Day?  It's a hand-made holiday, if ever there was one.  I *love* putting my crafty hat on this time of year!

During a movie the other night, I created a (baker's) dozen of these hearts.  I cut some red felt, stitched around them with white embroidery floss using a blanket stitch, and gave them a hanging string.

This is a picture of the back -- if you want to make them, start at center top.

 There are all sorts of fun things to do with them.  You can attach them to gifts or goodie bags.  You can create a centerpiece with a 'tree' of hearts.

You can puff-paint initials on them!  I'm even thinking it would be super cute to give them throughout the whole day as reminders of your love...

Greet your honey with an extra sweet coffee in the morning, perhaps?  Put them in his sock drawer?

Hmmm...that gives me another idea.  Scavenger hunt!  Now that sounds like something the kids would love.

Would you fancy them for yourself?  Good, because I'll be hosting a mini-giveaway for them next Wednesday!  (Don't worry -- if you win, you'll get them in plenty of time for the big day.)

This week, however, I have something even better.  Something SUPER DUPER SPECIAL just for you (and  a little person in your life)!

FELT FOOD!!!!!  Enter to win and you will receive the sweetest two cupcakes and three sugar cookies you've ever laid eyes on.

You didn't hear this from me, but your chances of winning are pretty good since I'm a "small town" sewing blog.  In fact, this is my very first giveaway and I'm pretty darn excited about it.  To enter, use this Rafflecopter contraption and you are all set!

The giveaway will run until Sunday at midnight and I'll announce the winner on Wednesday.  Sound good?
