Window Shopping Patterns

Have you ever stopped by BurdaStyle.com?  Or purchased?  I confess I've never attempted a downloadable/printable pattern, but I will be doing a bit a bit more sewing this summer and I might just be tempted!

Would you like to see a few fun printable pattern finds?

I love this dress!  Something about the pockets and the color and the retro goodness...


There appear to be some fit problems with the top -- it looks too loose, does it not?  Perhaps the model is the wrong size?  Find the pattern here.

    I never thought about an article of clothing not being the right size for the model. Usually I think to myself, "If it looks that bad on a model, I don't want to know how I'd look in it!" All three outfits are super cute though, I don't think I could pick a favorite!

      I think the only reason I thought the model might be the wrong size is because it seems so big on her -- but I always make a mock-up of a dress before cutting out the real deal :o). I need a dress for my SILS's wedding and I thought it might work, but now I'm leaning towards a variation of this oh-so-lovely-and-expensive dress: http://us.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/shopdress-occassion/26508226.jsp

    That Anthropologie dress is super cute! We just got a call from Jason yesterday asking Matt to be in the Sept wedding. I guess I'll be needing a dress too...but mine will need to accomodate a rather big belly...

    Anyway, I'm excited to see your creation : )

      Oh cool! Knowing my in-laws, this is going to be quite the wedding experience...and entertaining for those of us who get to stand on the sidelines :o). Have fun finding a dress! There are some cute maternity ones out there.
